Why Is the United States Bombing Yemen?

SINCE November 2023, when Israel began its genocidal attack on the Palestinians in Gaza, Ansar Allah – the group that governs Yemen – began a series of attacks on Israeli-affiliated ships in the Red Sea and in the Gulf of Aden as well as at Israel itself. These attacks – more than a hundred at last count – resulted in a dramatic decline in commercial shipping through the Suez Canal and in the closure of Israel’s only Red Sea port of Eliat.

Laws of Gravity Catching Up with Tesla

WE are not talking here about Nikolai Tesla, the genius who invented the AC motor and whose design is the basis for almost all electric motors today, including electric vehicles (EVs). This article is about Tesla, the car company that has become synonymous with Elon Musk. Tesla's share price, which defied the laws of gravity for years, is now on a steep downward trajectory in the last three months, losing about half its market value over the last three months. Statista notes that it has lost the title of being the world's leader in producing EVs to BYD, the Chinese EV maker.

Tripura Assembly Reduced to a Graveyard of Democracy

THE budget session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly has set ugly examples with scandalous incidents, compelling CPI(M) legislators, the main opposition in the house, to boycott the remaining days of the session from March 27, 2025.On March 21, 2025, the first day of the budget session, Finance Minister Pranjit Singharoy tabled the state’s budget proposal for the year 2024-25. The debate on the budget proposal was scheduled to begin on March 24. As per house convention, leader of the opposition and CPI(M) state secretary, Jitendra Chaudhury, initiated the debate on budget.

Strengthening the Party: Integrating the Fight Against Hindutva and Neoliberalism

The Political Review Report and the Draft Political Resolution of the 24th Party Congress of the CPI(M) were placed by Prakash Karat, Polit Bureau and Central Committee Coordinator of the Party. The Political Review Report was adopted by the Central Committee in November 2024. Based on this, the Draft Political Resolution was prepared and circulated for discussions among the entire Party rank and file.Prakash Karat mentioned that this was for the first time that the Political Review Report was adopted before the Draft Political Resolution was taken up.
