Indian Workers' Association (GB) Holds National Conference

THE Indian Workers' Association (IWA) (GB) held its national conference on November 24, at Comrade Sitaram Yechury Hall in Leicester. Despite the inclement weather brought on by Storm Bert, scores of delegates from across Britain gathered with a renewed sense of purpose and solidarity to discuss pressing issues and reaffirm the IWA's commitment to supporting the working class, migrants, and global justice. 

A Young and Vibrant Second Congress of CPK

THE Second Congress of the Communist Party of Kenya (CPK) was held on November 16-17, 2024 in Nairobi. 126 delegates from all the 47 counties in Kenya participated in the Congress, showcasing the presence of CPK all over the country. 54 messages were received from fraternal parties and organisations. The presence of CPI(M) in the Congress was highly appreciated.The Congress is taking place immediately after the widespread Gen Z uprising that took shook the Kenyan political establishment.

THE Tenth Asia Pacific Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba was successfully held in Beijing, People’s Republic of China on October 29-30, 2024. The meeting unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the international demand for an end to the unjust and criminal policy of blockade imposed by the United States government on the Republic of Cuba for the last 64 years. On the same day, the United Nations Assembly has come out with a resolution demanding the same and endorsed by 187 countries – including India – out of 193 countries.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah: The Man Who Defeated Israel

ISRAEL assassinated Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (1960-2024) because he refused to stop the attacks on northern Israel until the Israelis ended the genocide against the Palestinians. During the brief Israeli ceasefire, Nasrallah’s organisation –Hezbollah – paused their attacks also. When the Israelis resumed fighting, so did Hezbollah.Nasrallah was killed because he was unrelenting in his support for Palestine.
